39-year-old Shery Ben-Aroya was an intelligence officer in the Air Force. She was severely injured in the well-known suicide bombing at the Park Hotel during Passover in 2002. A piece of shrapnel pierced her right eye and exited the left side of her head. After being in a coma for three weeks, against all odds- Shery woke up and started her long and intense rehabilitation, where she had to learn everything from scratch. As a result of her injury, Shery’s right torso is paralyzed.
