Barak David, 31, lives in central Israel.
He loves technology, especially computers, and strives to strengthen his faith. Barak was injured in his neck at the age of 23 in a motorcycle accident and has since been wheelchair-bound. Barak currently serves in the IDF on a part-time basis in the field of Data Science. Barak learns Jewish studies in his spare time and enjoys finding technological solutions that can help his daily routine.
The challenge: Independent reading in bed
Barak has difficulty reading books independently in bed following complete paralysis of his lower limbs and partial paralysis of his upper limbs. Since Barak suffers from chronic pain, a large part of his day is spent in bed, and the ability to read books independently is crucial to him. Barak is looking for a solution that will allow him to turn pages and comfortably read books of various sizes.
