Dudi Saydoof – A mechanical (non-electric) device that will stretch and press the palm area

Dudi Saydoof, 41, married +1.
He served as a border patrol policeman in Judea and Samaria and in Jerusalem.
In 2004 he was injured when his team prevented a suicide bomber from entering the city of Jerusalem. The terrorist blew up the explosive belt near his team, and as a result- Dudi was injured by many shards penetrating his head. He has since been paralyzed on his left side and suffers from severe pain in his left hand. Since then, Dudi has continued his rehabilitation in the Tel Hashomer Rehabilitation Department.

The challenge: A mechanical (non-electric) device that will stretch and press the palm area

Some of the consequences of Dudi’s injury are the increased tone and spasticity in his left-hand muscles, impairing his quality of life. Dudi suffers from severe spasm attacks, accompanied by excruciating pain in his hand. It starts in the palm and goes up the entire arm, both during the daytime and when he is asleep. Stretching and applying pressure along the entire arm and palm is the only thing that helps reduce the pain. Of course, Dudi cannot always stretch or apply pressure, and he must have someone help him. Dudi is looking for a device with which he can do the stretching and applying pressure on his own, so he won’t need to wake his wife up in the middle of the night anymore.
